Beauty Retouching, Video Tutorial

Enhancing Makeup With Dodging and Burning in Photoshop

In beauty and fashion photography, perfecting makeup is an essential part of retouching. When you are showcasing skillfully applied cosmetics or selling a feeling, often times the makeup will need special attention paid to it in order to enhance it. This video tutorial, by Melbourne-based fashion photographer, Kayleigh June, demonstrates her techniques for enhancing makeup within Photoshop.

Kayleigh comments on her own perspective when it comes to retouching makeup, remarking that she “never wants to go too much or too far when editing makeup.” This is especially important for those that are testing with makeup artists and developing their creative team, as retouching that is too overdone can undermine the work of a skilled makeup artist.
