Adobe Photoshop CC2017 is Released: Reinstall Your RA Panels

Adobe has rolled out the new Photoshop CC 2017 that uses Adobe’s new Sensei automation engine to improve your productivity.

Among the new features you fill find:

  • In-App Search: Quickly search for Photoshop menus, tools, panels and more from within Photoshop using a new search panel (press Cmd (or Ctrl+F or click on the new search symbol  in the upper right corner of the application frame).
  • Enhanced Properties panel
  • Improved Select and Mask Workspace
  • Improved Face-Aware Liquify
  • And more: New features summary | Photoshop CC 2017.

What does it mean for the RA Panels Users?

If you would like to go ahead and move on to Photoshop CC 2017, simply hit the Update button in your Creative Cloud app and the RA Panels will appear in your update version by default:

However, if you’d like to give it a try, but providently save the previous version, make sure to click Advanced Options in the Update dialog and uncheck Remove Older Version option. This way you won’t need to reinstall the older version should you desire to go back to it:

After your new Photoshop CC2017 is installed, reinstall your RA Panels, just like you did for the Photoshop CC2015.5 update: Beauty Retouch v3.0 & v3.1 Installation Guide, 2016.

If you can’t locate installation files for the panels on your computer, please visit your Member Area on the Retouching Academy Lab website (not retouchingacademy.com) via this link: https://retouchingacademylab.com/ra-lab-members-area/.

Login to access your Beauty Retouch files using the User ID you created at the time of the purchase.

Should you have any further questions, please visit our FAQ page, and if you don’t find the answer you’re looking for, submit a ticket for our Support Team at the bottom of the FAQ page.

  • So, we need to reinstall Pixel Juggler too. I’ve seen an update there. Thanks so much, Julia!

    • Hi Tacy,

Yes, everything we have to do with the Beauty Retouch at the times of updates, is always the same as for Pixel Juggler 🙂

      • Thanks for the reply, I’ve installed the update.

  • Kostis Kostas

    i have problem … :
i tried to install the panel but ! in photoshop cc2017 only the pixel juggler installed … i didnt know that i mustn’t click on ” remove old version ” … what can i do know ? im trying installed for many hours … and nothing worked

    • Alex Braga

Same here… only Pixel Juggler shows up in the Window > Extensions menu, even after reinstalling RA Panel, and I didn’t remove old version when updating

      • Alex, please refer to my comment above and contact our Support Team if even that does not help.

    • Kostis, please connect with our Support Team (at the bottom of the FAQ: https://retouchingacademylab.com/faq/).

The RA panels are absolutely 100% work on CC2017 if you do everything just like we described in our instructions: https://retouchingacademylab.com/adobe-photoshop-cc2017-is-released-reinstall-your-ra-panels/

You either need to make sure you remove all previous versions, or locate the folder into wish your PS CC2017 installed the panel and move it to where it needs to be (where the Pixel Juggler is). But most likely you still have the old version of Beauty Retouch sitting somewhere in your old PS folders and it’s preventing the new one from working as it should.

    any luck on fixing ??

    • Lonnie, there is nothing to fix, everything is working for all our users. Please read my comments above.

      • Lonnie Strickland

        followed these instructions

        Still not working

        • As I mentioned a few times above – please contact the support and describe what exactly you have done so far and what exactly is not working. This is NOT the place for customer support, we have a designated team for it, so please submit a ticket with your details, at the bottom of the FAQ page: https://retouchingacademylab.com/faq/
